  Founded in 1986 the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Agency (CBHEMA) represents nearly 300 farmers for British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. CBHEMA finances its activities through levies collected from the members.

  The broiler hatching egg industry is a highly specialized industry that is at the foundation of Canada's chicken industry. Our members produce $200 million worth of hatching eggs supplying the hatchery sector with roughly 80% of Canada's requirements. http://www.cbhema.com/

• Chicken Farmers of Canada
  Chicken Farmers of Canada (CFC) is a national farmer-run organization and is completely funded through levies the farmers pay according to the amount of chicken marketed.

  The main responsibility of the CFC is to ensure that Canada's 2,800 farmers produce enough chicken to meet the needs of the market place. The system is commonly known as supply management.

  CFC was established in 1978 under the Farmer Products Agencies Act through an agreement of the federal government, provincial agriculture ministers and chicken farmers in member provinces.
